Start your journey to becoming a Smart Factory with Smart Tech Up — a national initiative helping Malaysian SMEs and Mid-Tier Companies automate, digitalise, and future-proof their operations.
Smart Tech Up is a national programme by SIRIM Berhad, supported under Mission 2 of the New Industrial Master Plan (NIMP) 2030 by the Ministry of Investment, Trade and Industry (MITI).
It aims to help Malaysian businesses accelerate digital transformation and adopt smart manufacturing technologies, transforming 3,000 companies into Smart Factories by 2030.
Through Smart Tech Up, you’ll gain:
- - Technical validation and expert consultancy
- - Funding support of up to RM500,000 (50:50 matching grant)
- - Access to partner banks for additional financing
- - Smart Factory recognition based on readiness profiling

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
To qualify for Smart Tech Up, your company must:
- Be incorporated under the Companies Act, 2016
- Have at least 51% Malaysian ownership
- Be catogorised as in SMEs or Mid-Tier Company
- Have at least 3 years in operation
- Hold a valid business license from local authority
- Operate in Manufacturing or Manufacturing Related Services (MRS)
